Well.. here we are.. married!
Due to all of the honeymoon changes that have occurred, Ally is at work for two days while I get everything ready (the honeymoon officially starts on Tuesday evening when we book into a hotel near Gatwick).
In between all of the ironing and packing, I have had a chance today to upload some of our wedding photographs, these are in the gallery. I must thank my uncle, Rob, for taking charge of the photographs on the day – he has produced some stunning shots!
I’m sure Ally will be on soon to give you all a full account of the day…

Stag and hen do photos are now in the gallery!
With only 3 weeks to go, there’s not much time left! Last weekend Kevin spent the weekend in Barcelona with his friends – photos to come soon! While he was sunning himself, I travelled back to the shop from which we ordered the bridesmaid dresses so Jade and Jo could have them fitted. We were all very excited (actually, I was quite nervous!) but there was no need to be as they dresses are beautiful and, after some alterations here and there, will be perfect on the day! We’ve had yet MORE issues with the honeymoon again this week. Thomas Cook decided to rip up their contact with the owners of the ship and hotel, so we have been booked onto a new ship and new hotel which aren’t as good as the originals, but are still good. However, we still have to fight for compensation over this, which is certainly something we don’t need right now! Anyway, I have a nice weekend ahead of me with my friends at a lovely Spa Hotel in Marlow. I am very very excited – especially when we’re having a pink theme to the evening out! Can’t wait!
It’s been a while since I last updated you, and so much has happened since! We have been very busy indeed! We have had about 99% of our replies back – still waiting for a few of you! I am now in the process of making table place cards, and table seating plans! Just after Easter we had a meeting with the registrar, and she went through the ceremony with us (I had flu at the time!) which suddenly made things seem very real! A few days after that we made a trip to the flower shop to order the bouquets, button holes and corsages. Last week, my very talented friend Sarah came to see me and we had a fab time practising hair and make-up for the big day! And then on Thursday I had a fitting for my dress. It all went very well and I didn’t want to take it off! Then, on Friday, I had a phone call from the Bridesmaid’s shop to say their dresses have arrived! So, on the 19th, we’ll be travelling back to the shop to have them fitted. There a still a few things left to do – and with less then 6 weeks to go, time is ticking!!

I had a phone call yesterday from the shop where I purchased my dress … and it has arrived!!! Yay!!! I now have an appointment for a fitting in a couple of weeks and I can not wait!
Hello again! Just thought I would let you all know that we’ve decided to go with our original Honeymoon, but 2 days later, So, we will be leaving on the 21st, and arriving back on the 4th. This also means I have to return to work for two days after the wedding, which isn’t perfect, but that’s the way its got to be!
At roughly 5pm yesterday, we received a phone call from Thomas Cook to inform us that Air Tours had sent them a letter informing them that all Egypt tours would now be two days later than booked (i.e, leaving on the Wednesday rather than the Monday). Air Tours “trust that this wouldn’t be a problem”. How wrong could they be!? Besides the fact that we only fully paid for the honeymoon two weeks ago, we’ve also booked ourselves into a hotel near the airport for when we arrive home, I also started a new job in a school last week, and this new change of dates would mean MORE time off during term time, which really wouldn’t go down too well. We went to Thomas Cook today to try and sort something out, but they were closed (and happened to be the ONLY travel agent in Southend that were!) Kev is going there first thing Monday morning to try and make sense of it all and to get information on all possible solutions to this problem. We shall update you as and when we know what is happening…
Just a quickie to ask any of you that have dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian), to let us know ASAP so we can inform the caterers. (This mostly applies to those attending all day). Either e-mail me, or fill in the form following this link http://www.kevsfx.com/contact.php Thankyou…
Today we sent out requests for the remaining addresses that we needed for the evening invitations and also bought lots of stamps to put on the envelopes
We will be putting them in the post this weekend, so keep checking your mail boxes!
